Dan’s Fast Forward Outdoor Brings a Fun‑Filled Trail Weekend in Nasugbu, Batangas.

Dan’s, in partnership with PinoyTrails and Outdoor Statement, welcomes runners of all fitness levels to experience the trails and terrain of Nasugbu, Batangas. The two-day event kicked off with Dan’s Trailfest  at Bamboo Hills on July 5, 2025, followed by the Batangas Road‑to‑Trail Challenge 2 on July 6, 2025.

Dan’s Trailfest drew over 150 participants, including marshals and event crew, for a packed day of trail running and environmental advocacy. The event was formally opened by Franc Ramon, founder of Pinoy Trails, who underscored the importance of creating meaningful trail experiences and fostering a deeper appreciation for nature through the event.

The event featured a paced trail run along the scenic routes of Mount Lantik and Mount Talamitam, offering participants both demanding ascents and breathtaking views.

Adding depth to the experience was a trail talk by renowned endurance road and trail coach Ige Lopez, and a tree-planting activity where approximately 200 trees were planted—highlighting the organizers’ commitment to sustainable outdoor experiences.

Participants were also treated to a fun twist: various on-trail challenges that they could complete and redeem for prizes, which included a Suunto Sonic and a Hyperice Sphere. Despite unpredictable weather conditions, runners embraced the extra challenges with enthusiasm and high spirits.

As part of the community outreach, Medtecs Group, one of the event’s Corporate participants, donated face masks, bandages, and gloves to the local government, furthering the event’s goal of holistic public support and advocacy.

The fun continued into the afternoon with the much-anticipated Beer Mile, where runners completed ten 600-meter laps, each paired with a bottle of beer. More than a race, the activity celebrated camaraderie and brought out the lighter, more jovial side of the trail community.

The weekend culminated with the 2nd edition of the Batangas Road to Trail Challenge on July 6, 2025, drawing nearly 500 runners across 21K, 10K, 5K, and 1K Kids categories. It was a classic rain‑or‑shine, slip‑and‑slide trail race: participants dug deep as they navigated the ups and downs of Batangas’ forested hills—each one carving out their own memorable trail adventure.

Top performances included:

·        21K Champions: Victor Nawi and Pauline Avelino

·        10K Champions: Val Zaragoza and Shaira Mariano

The champions received On Running shoes, while Victor Nawi also won the Suunto Sub 2 Challenge, setting a new 21K course record of 1:52:19. Reina Fitness Community earned the award for biggest delegation.

Also held on the second day was the interactive Suunto Challenge, where participants raced across Bamboo Hills solving clues, riddles, and completing physical challenges to collect puzzle pieces—competing for Suunto Watches as the ultimate prize.

Dan’s Fast Forward Outdoor Weekend wasn’t just about showcasing Batangas’ scenic trails—it was a celebration of community, nature, and shared experiences. With every kilometer run, every tree planted, and every laugh shared, the event deepened connections and showed what’s possible when people come together to explore and protect the outdoors.

The trail-filled weekend came to a powerful close with the 2nd Batangas Road‑to‑Trail Challenge on July 6, 2025—an event that didn’t just underscore the rising popularity of trail running in the region, but also reinforced the importance of blending sports with sustainability.
